Today the teens had a master class with Kim Konikow who helps people believe in themselves and imagine their future and their life goals. The YAP students also did a flashmob in the Bates Commons on the balcony. The Lakeside concert was tonight and the musicians had just set up and started practicing when it rained down hard. But the show went on anyway. It was awesome to hear all the musicians playing and as the YAP students danced along to the music.

Tonight was the musicians concert at the Franco-American Heritage Center. It was amazing!! The best part was when Mike Wall sang, “Make It Rain” by Tom Waits. The concert featured many talented musicians from around the world including our very own Terrence Karn!
A new week
Monday, August 1st, 2011We had two guest musicians today, Michael and Rob, who will be performing in the Musicians’ Concert at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston tomorrow. The zoe | juniper performance that was on Friday was very interesting. They used a lot of dance elements such as speed, choppy vs. smooth, levels, cannons and video projections. I thought the show was pretty amazing. I was stunned to see such beautiful dancing and amazing costumes. They wore body tights / unitard type costumes and there were projections of the performers dancing while they danced.
Yap comments II and the performance of Zoe/Juniper
Friday, July 29th, 2011Some of the Middles (9-12 year olds) had these things to to say; ” YAP is fun”, ” I think it is cool”, and ” I like hip hop, and music”. The performance of Zoe/Juniper was a very excellent performance the teens had a chance to go and see it tonight. Some of the teens thought the style of dancing they did was very interesting and seemed like something they had done in YAP this week.
